Christian Beauséjour, PhD. Dr. Beauséjour is a full professor in the Department of Pharmacology and Physiology at Université de Montréal. Dr. Beauséjour has extensive expertise in stem cell research studying the impact of cellular senescence on tissue regeneration and is currently the director of the reprogramming and gene editing platform at the CHU Ste-Justine. He has contributed several seminal manuscripts in the fields of genome editing and cell/gene therapy. His laboratory is interested in the immune tolerance and/or rejection of iPSC-derived cells and in modeling different cancer types using iPSC-derived cells. He is also interested in improving progenitor/stem cell fitness using senolytic drugs. His team has developed various cell/gene therapy models using cord blood hematopoietic stem cells and multipotent stromal stem cells.
